2007年，第一代iPhone发布，彻底改变了手机。之后的10年间，手机 改变了世界。
忘了是在哪看过一句话，说：世界那么大，别玩手机了。
看完觉得真有道理，赶紧放下手机，准备好好看看这个世界。
嗯，不过，我发现，全世界都在玩手机，和我一样抬起头的人，也只是想问问wifi密码是多少。
从前，手机只是一种通讯工具。到了后来，手机就变成了一只“摄魂怪”，离开它几分钟就开始魂不守舍，心里有种莫名的慌张。
因为它是你的钱包，要是出门忘了充电，就有可能穷得连地铁也坐不起。它还是你的相册，记录着你的喜怒哀乐、生活琐碎。它还是你的玩伴，陪你养蛙吃鸡，带你浏览天下。
加拿大传播学者麦克卢汉曾说：“媒介即人的延伸”。
所以，它还是你与这个世界沟通的眼与手，你不能失联，也不敢失联。
凡此种种，早在2003年那个功能机称霸的年代，就有人预见到了。
今天我们摘录的选段来自2003年出版的How are things: A Philosophical Experiment，作者是法国畅销书作家Roger-Pol Droit。
虽然这是一部15年前的作品，但书中的描绘却一针见血地戳中了我们今天“被手机绑架”的生活：
With traditional phones, in spite of everything, you could always leave the room. It was possible to escape momentarily from this archaic receiver, tethered to its post. You could arrange things for a while so as to slip away from all possibility of being contacted, got in touch with, waylaid. But the mobile does everything in its power to prevent such abscondings.
无论如何，你大不了总能离开装着电话座机的房间，可以暂时逃离这种拴在座子上的古旧接收器。你可以先把事情安排好，然后就能避开所有被联系到的可能性，没人能联络到你，也没人能拦住你跟你唠个不停。但是，在无所不能的手机面前，你插翅难逃。
You know as well as I do that it does not succeed. There is a whole range of tricks that enable one to outflank this permanent invasion of unwanted voices wherever one goes. The voice mail, the text message, the call-return and other such tactics allow you to put off and postpone. Nonetheless, you are supposed to pick up and return your messages as soon as possible, throw yourself upon them breathless with attention, and just a touch of guilt, as soon as you are back online.
你我都知道，手机来电也困不住你。不管去哪，总有一大堆方法帮你摆脱这种讨厌声音的不断入侵。比方说语音信箱、短信、电话回拨等等这些手机功能让你可以稍后处理这些来电。但即便如此，你还是得尽快回短信，越快越好，集中注意力抓紧处理这些消息，而且，一旦你回复消息，还得为自己的离线心怀些许愧疚不安。
Since the basic principle, the entire rationale and avowed ambition of the portable phone is perpetual connection, nonstop, limitless, lifelong, night and day. Along with accommodating your faxes, your photos, news items, preferences, emails, voice messages, text messages, television channels, favorite films, health tips, pulse rate, blood pressure, glucose levels and - if there is room - accident and emergency numbers in case of danger, even minus battery, not to mention FM radio plus the weather forecasts and the stock exchange results. Everything necessary for survival. All this and only one commandment: Thou Shalt Not Disconnect.
因为移动电话的基本信条，全部原则乃至它众所周知的野心，就是“保持恒久的联络”，没有停顿的，毫无限制的，持续众生的，日日夜夜的联络。手机里还得装下你的传真、你的照片、设置偏好、电子邮件、语音消息、文字短信、电视频道、喜爱的电影、健康贴士、心率、血压、血糖水平......如果还有空间，就算不带电池，也要装下紧急联系人的电话以防意外危险。像是调频收音机、天气预报、以及股市行情什么的就更不用说了。跟生存有关的一切必需品（都得装进手机）。上述所有，加上这唯一的诫条：你，不能失联。
